Changes coming

I have nothing else to do and so I'm going on an adventure. I'm packing up for a walking tour of Europe and will do that for as long as I can hold out.

I'll begin posting information as I go.

Bob, I was always a big fan of your GDI+ faq, and I just found out it was no longer there. I just wanted to express a word of appreciation for all the work you did in the past, it was of tremendous help!

How is the new life in the future so far?

Bob, I wanted to thank you for your quality teaching content, especially on GDI+, that has served me well back in the day! I wanted to recommend your articles to a friend and found bobpowell.net (confidently typed out of memory after 10+ years) did not bring me to the expected page, so I wound up here... You might not be aware, but you impacted a lot of people's lives with your passion and effort. It was not all in vain. Whatever you chose and will choose to do, I hope you find that whatever it is that makes you happy still lives inside of you! Even though you are and will be missed in the tech community, I am happy that you are making changes that feel good for you. It seems that that wasn't a priority previously. Never offer discounts on yourself for the sake of others!

You still will find some stuff by Bob Powell looking for Robert Powell, codeproject, stackoverflow, c#, vb, gdi+ using google and as mentioned above via webarchive. An another very good graphics/winforms entry point is csharphelper.com maintained by Rod Stephens. My very personal favorite by Bob Powell was his mouse backtracking matrix transformation resp. inverting object based sample code. Amazing job Bob!
